  6. Hey there, I still can't download this--any news on why?

  7. Life of Mel,

Did you ever get a receipt from Apple? Apple handles the downloading to your iPhone. Either you didn't actually purchase the app or something screwy is happening on the Apple side. You may also need to resynch your phone to your computer or iCloud.

  8. I have the latest iPhone version (don't know what it is since it doesn't report its version anywhere) and it is missing a map. I have the spoiler setting to read "A Storm of Swards". I can't find the map for the Narrow Sea and the cities on the eastern shore (Free Cities, etc). Is there a setting I am missing?

  9. Hey ForestPlay!,

I removed the maps from "A Dance with Dragons" at the request of the publisher. Sorry, but these are no longer part of the app.

  10. Hi, Jason, I am sure I've purchased it -- I can't find the receipt (I bought it ages ago), however, I did just try to purchase it again, just to see. It says,"This item is free because you have previously purchased it." Then, it starts the download (or appears to) and then I get the "This app is no longer available." message. Not sure what to do! Should I contact the app store instead? Thanks!

  11. Life of Mel, I think you need to contact the Apple. I'm not sure why that is happening. Sorry!

  12. Thanks for your reply Jason. Please find an alternate source for that map. It's expected when I go to maps. Those places are mentioned frequently in the books. Thank you.

  14. That's right, I don't have an app on the Mac App store. I've covered a lot of other platforms, but not Mac OSX.

  15. Hello. First of all....great app. I love the books (I'm working on book 2) and your app definitely helps keep track of details. I'm using it on my ipad.

I have one strong suggestion that I think would really help your product....

One thing that I, and many of my friends who are reading the books, have an issue with is keeping track of each of the various storylines when there is always significant gap between them. For example, in-between chapters from the pov of Tyrion, there can be many chapters about other characters. As a result, it's easy to forget what was happening in the last chapter of any of the various storylines.

Why not include in the app short chapter summaries? Then we can just read a paragraph or two to jog our memories when we need it. There are a couple of really good GoT Wikis that do just that, and it's really helpful:

    Strongly recommended!

  16. Since the update to version 3.5 the descriptions of all the more well known characters are cut off after 14 rows of text. I'm using it on my iPod Touch 2G. Thanks if you can fix this bug.

  17. Hi there - I've been experiencing the same problem as Andreas when using the App on the Ipod touch - the story of every character gets cut off after 14 rows of text - rendering something which has been essential pretty much useless! Is this going to be fixed?

  18. I'll take a look. I have an iPod Touch 2G that I will retest with. It with probably take a week or two with Apple approvals. Thanks for letting me know!

  19. Wish I was impressed. I was hoping for a better selection of maps. There seems to be so few for a $4 app. I feel bad about the poor value in this product.

  20. Nathan,

Are you using the Apple version? Or a different one? What other maps would you like to see? Would this app be a better value at a lower price?

  21. Fantastic - thanks - I'm feeling a bit out of my depth reading Dance with Dragons without the app to support me! Great app!

    1. Hey JR,

Did you buy the app recently? If not, make sure you've updated to the latest version (v2.7.5). This was happening for some people a while back, but I fixed it.

      Best,
      Jason

  25. I discover this companion to be amazingly helpful as I'm perusing the series.I can without much of a stretch backpedal and forth between this app and my book on the off chance that I need information. This has a tendency to be much less demanding then setting off to the appendix in the book on my kindle. It likewise gives a great deal more information about characters then the appendix does. The app likewise has settings that permit you to pick which books you have perused so there won't be any spoilers in the portrayals in the event that you have not perused certain books.
